For, “through faith and patience you will inherit what has been promised,” (Hebrews 6:12). And so, “enter into the rest of God” (Hebrews 4:11), “Trust in the Lord with all your heart listen for His voice in everything you do, and He will keep your paths straight” (Proverbs 3: 5,6). On every level, God is overseeing your life. Therefore, remain secure in the knowledge that God loves you, and He is with you. For the longer it takes, the bigger the harvest.ĭespite what you are waiting for today, God’s timing is the perfect time. The gardener knows that positive expectation, patience and preparation, lead to success. Although the storms may come, the gardener continues to plan and prepare for the harvest. So, let’s do as the gardener does - wait with expectation. Just as there are seasons in nature for planting and growing, there are seasons in all of our lives. Or God says “wait,” and then He gives you the best.īe assured, when nothing seems to be materializing, a lot really is going on behind the scenes. He says “no,” and provides something better.ģ. He says “yes,” and gives you what you want.Ģ. I’ve heard it said that God answers our prayers in three ways:ġ.

However, just because your heart’s dream hasn’t transpired so far, that doesn’t mean that God’s provision is disregarded.

And before long, we might think, “God didn’t hear me,” “It’s not going to happen” or “It’s too just late.” That even thought your timing had this season over by now, God’s timing is perfect.How many times have we prayed, putting the matter before God in faith, resting on His promises and then nothing happens? Doubts may bombard our mind. So, for those reading this who have, am, or will be in this situation or other seasons that you thought would be over by now, have faith that God has a meaningful purpose for the season of waiting. But I also have a peace in the understanding that this is part of God’s plan. And of course it is hard to handle the fact that I thought I would be soon graduating but am now going to have to take a class in Fall Semester. But, one thing that I do know is that God still has a plan and a purpose for me at Charleston Southern University. Where does the balance of these two thing lie? Honestly, I don’t really know. Does God have the ability to keep me in this season known as college? Yes. Am I partly at fault for failing a class needed to graduate? Yes.

The songs speaks to the fact that God is in the waiting seasons. Something that has really helped open my eyes when it comes to waiting on the Lord is the song, “Take Courage” from Kristene Di Marco and Bethel. I have to be obedient to him and wait on the Lord! In the world today, based on the culture that has been created, we want what everything to happen as soon as possible and we never just sit and wait.

Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord be strong, and let your heart take courage wait for the Lord!” God’s unique plan for my life will always be according to his timing and not mine. Like I said before, God’s timing is perfect and on time. See waiting, and timing, has been something that we all do throughout our lives. I waited to get my first phone, I waited til I got my license, I waited until I graduated from high school, and finally waited until I got to become a college student. From the very start, you wait for things to happen. Timing has been a large part of my life from the beginning. And I will let you in on a little secret, God’s timing is always on time. But here is the thing, my sense of timing, and God’s sense of timing are different. Actually, all my life I have questioned the timing of when things happen. Recently, I have been wrestling with the concept of timing.
